Rapid Action™ succeeds because teams can turn their best ideas into action fast. They do that by using the Action Accelerator, which we’ll talk about in today’s post.

At this point in the process, the team has brainstormed ideas and selected a priority idea for Action Planning. The Action Accelerator is a tool used by the team to accomplish three main objectives:

1. Identify what needs to be done to implement the idea.
2. Create a step-by-step action plan for implementing the idea.
3. Develop a control plan for sustaining the results of implemented actions.

Each idea has a champion that ensures the action plan is followed, but most ideas are worked on by the whole team. By structuring the Action Accelerator this way, Idea Champions are empowered to get work done while knowing they have the support of their team to help along the way.
